May 13th A Post and A Private Viewing

Today we sent home items we could not carry any longer. We are now some pounds and dollars lighter. I know we will appreciate this going to Seoul tomorrow and the other times we move.

But first we have breakfast at our now favorite breakfast shop in Korea.

Yes Strawberry ice cream for breakfast. Best in the world

So we took a taxi to the post office and headed to downtown Busan for the largest indoor fountain in the world and the Busan Fish Market.

But before that, I wanted to drop off a couple of gifts at the Busan City Museum that had done the Exhibit of my photos last year. Mondays it is closed.

However, my friend Mr. Lee was there and wanted us to see what he had been working on. So we got a private viewing of treasures people had donated to the Busan City Museum. What a special treat it was. And the videos.  Well they have to be seen in person. Sorry.

Me and the two Mr Lees who pit these exhibitions together.

Short clip of the real life video made for this Exhibition

Animation made from clips of paintings shown here.
Mr Lees group searched for three months till they found the photographer they wanted. A Frenchman. He worked with a Swiss director to do the animation.
Mr Lee’s group does such a wonderful job.

So we get a taxi to downtown and get out at the Lotte Department store that has the fountain. But look who has invaded.

Pokeman. A Pop Up Pokeman store till May 15th. So as a consolation, I suggest we go to the Observatory on the roof. But finding the correct elevator is harder than finding Pokeman characters. We do and the view is nice.

So everyone is hungry. We look across the street from Lotte but most places are still closed or have poor choices. We head back to Lotte and have some really bad Chinese food. How bad?  No pictures. So to cleanse our palate we head to the pastry shop also in Lotte. A lemon tart wins the day. How good was it? No picture and Meghan was sent back for a second one.
So we say goodbye to Busan and take the train to Seoul tomorrow where the adventure only gets bigger.

Good night
