We actually woke up today with a plan. For years Mary Ann and I have been watching a Japanese Tourist show called Trails to Oishii Tokyo that many tomes starts off in Tsukigi Fish Market and then follows a food to it’s source to find out why it gets its Umamii.
So today we went to the old Tsukigi fish market. They moved the wholesale fish market years ago to a bigger location, but the retail stores still remain. And so much food. Nothing like sushi for breakfast. Followed by smoked eel and topped off with Wagyu beef on skewers. All washed down with a cold Sapporo beer. And for dessert? Strawberry Mochii
So how can you finish such a good day? Back towards home and hang out at an outdoor cafe and watch the world go by. No big tourists us.
We end up with an afternoon nap and then down to the laundromat so we arrive in Kyoto tomorrow with clean clothes.
And that just about cleans up our Tokyo adventure.
And then to the Picolo Pub for late night snack Patricia and Jonah join us later and we have a great shared snack time then us off to bed and them out into the night
Goodnight
