Yes we are moving again. But only a couple more times. So we pull up are tents and take our bags and stuff to lockers at Kyoto station. Patricia and Jonah have already done that and are going hiking up one of Kyoto’s mountains.
Mary Ann and I are going back to Arashiyama to better see the village there and the walkway through the giant bamboo. We take buses there so we can better see Kyoto. The bamboo and village nice.
Another reason to go there is to retrieve earrings Mary Ann left there when we stated there and a watch Michael did also. But they were not home so we left them a a-message. Hopefully they will get it.
And for those in the know, they are tearing down the ghost house nearby.
From there we hopped on a train to take us back to Kyoto station, pick up our belongings and head to our new abode. Well to say the taxi ride was an adventure is an understatement. First the wrong narrow street. Then the next wrong narrow narrow street. Once we get there, it is such a releief to be in a big place all to the 4 of us. And there is a shrine at the end of the street I will show you here.
Wait till you see it at night.
A trip to the local Family Mart and back home. Jonah and Patricia arrive and our home is complete. We all nap then Jonah and Patricia go out to explore.
Mary Ann wakes so it is our turn to go eat. At the end of our road, we run into the man running a counter
Service restaurant. Very authentic. So we order food and sake and watch first volleyball then baseball with him and an older lady who loves sports. She could have been my Mother’s Japanese counterpart.
And after we say Sayonara, the shrine is more beautiful than ever.
And that too spells Goodnight.
Beautiful pictures of the shrine !!!! Also goodbye Ghost House. Say hi to Yamano!
