April 21st. Talk about a slow day.

 If you thought yesterday was slow well think again. Major movement ( at least for me) was to the Brunch coffee shop for……brunch. I ate most of mine and half of Mary Ann’s. It was an asian style western breakfast. Quit nice. It ended with Mary Ann spilling most of her ice coffee on me. The waiter was more upset than me. And luckily I had hiking type pants on so most of it went on the floor. More work for the waiter. 

Back to the room to prepare for tomorrow and next week. One preparation was to see if the suit and shirt still fit. Shirt. Check no problem. Suit top. Check no problem. Suit pants. Wait are these the right pants? So small. 

So Mary Ann heads out to the big department stores down the block. She comes back very quickly with a perfect pair the right length. Turns out she never made the departure stores but the market underneath. There she bought a pair of pants and the man hemmed them right there

Next to wrap the gifts we brought for the people in the two organizations who helped us. That too was a project doing it in one’s hotel room. 

And last but not least, purchasing Japan rail tickets needed next week. Should be fun. 

So the day winds down, but don’t expect tomorrow’s blog to be so slow. They have activities planned for us soon after they pick us up at 9:20 am till late afternoon. Will keep you posted.
